Before we can govern well, it is necessary to think clearly.
Once your thoughts are clear, you can tap into the power of governance—that is speech—to its fullest potential. This is why the first phase of the curriculum will begin with Aristotle's craft of logic, also known as the Organon.

The Organon is a collection of six works by Aristotle that form the foundation of classical logic. The term "Organon" means "instrument" or "tool" in Greek, reflecting its purpose as the essential tool for conducting proper reasoning and philosophical inquiry.

Since antiquity, scholars have expanded the curriculum to eight books, adding the Art of Rhetoric and Poetics. This complete collection addresses both internal speech—thoughts—and external speech—the spoken word. It protects internal speech from errors by training it in first principles, guiding it toward truth; it also establishes common standards across languages to ensure external speech accurately reflects what is in the soul, without addition or subtraction. For these benefits, they named it “the craft of logic”.

Some argue that one cannot properly engage in philosophical discourse without first studying the foundational works of the Organon.

Of course, all of this sounds intimidating and exciting as you will accumulate wonderful tools for your life. At Edeneum, we believe in putting ideas into practice—making them real—and seeing results.
Let us remind ourselves, however, that there is a step before the Organon. A practical yet necessary stepping stone: Ethics.
This subject has driven a tremendous amount of people to write "the book on ethics." Why such importance? All good actions stem from refining one's character. You can apply this throughout every aspect of your life: work, family, society, and beyond.
Like mathematics, we begin counting with zero. So we start with ground zero. Everything that needs to be thought, spoken, or done passes through this phase. This is also a lifelong journey with no end. On a basic level, you must acquire noble character traits (virtues) and remove base traits (vices) if they have already taken root. Character traits are psychological dispositions that become part of the soul—possessions that shape how we act. Actions flow from these traits.
How can we expect to act rightly if we haven't set ourselves straight first? We need to examine our character.
